The Venue: Morganton Community House
From its inception in the 1930s until today, the Morganton Community House has served as a gathering place for clubs, civic groups, receptions and community functions in the City of Morganton and surrounding communities, and like any good community assembly, food has always been a centerpiece of the activities.
Event Program, Directions & Parking
Morganton Community House is located in downtown Morganton on the corner of N King and Queen St. Parking is available across the street from the venue. Please see their parking map for more information. For directions, see the Google Map below.
- 5pm: Meet & Greet in the Connelly Room
- 5:45pm: Doors open to the Cobb room
- 6pm: Dinner hour begins with a welcome from our chair, Tim Buff. Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and National Anthem
- Dessert will be a silent auction. Each table will choose a representative to bid on a dessert. Opportunity will be given for an upset bid.
- We will have candidate trivia to learn something new about each candidate in attendance.
- If time permits we will allow candidates to speak
- Country style steak and gravy
- Herb crusted chicken breast
- Buttered mashed potatoes
- Green beans
- Salad
- Dinner rolls
- Coffee, tea, water

Meet The Candidates
Burke County GOP has invited over 60 candidates running for local and statewide offices in the 2024 North Carolina Republican Primary. Races include Burke County School Board, NC Attorney General, Governor and US House of Representatives.
